The lift cabin (3) and a counterweight (8) each have a support pulley (7,11). At least one support pulley (16,17) is immovably installed in a lift-shaft, and includes a flexible support (18). The support pulleys form a suspension system for the cabin and counterweight. The at lest one support pulley installed the lift shaft, together with the cabin and counterweight with their support pulleys are positioned so that the supports are always curved in the same direction while all the support pulleys circulate.
