The method involves transmitting an interrogation signal to radiofrequency identification (RFID) tags. A tag of interest is identified by a unique identifier associated with the tag of interest. All tags being interrogated are turned off. The tag of interest is turned on by the unique identifier. A data associated with the tag of interest is acquired after interrogating the tag. An independent claim is also included for a method of selective interrogating a radiofrequency identification (RFID) tag among several RFID tags.
