<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a proton conductive membrane having self-generating ability and holding ability of water and excellent ionic conductivity and cross-over preventing effects and used for solid polyelectrolyte type fuel cells, or the like, and to obtain a proton conductor composition for producing the membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The proton conductor composition is composed of a polyarylene having a sulfonic acid group and at least one kind of metal catalyst selected from the group consisting of platinum, gold, palladium, rhodium, iridium and ruthenium. The composition contains the metal catalyst in an amount of 0.01-80 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the polyarylene having the sulfonic acid group or is composed of the polyarylene having the sulfonic acid group, the metal catalyst and a microparticle and/or a fiber of a metal oxide. The composition contains the metal catalyst in an amount of 0.01-80 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the polyarylene having the sulfonic acid group and the microparticle and fiber in the total amount of 0.01-50 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the polyarylene having the sulfonic acid group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
