A control unit pref. an electronic control unit with a microprocessor is provided, which is connected with a low power electric motor(30). No control elements are required for initiating an opening operation. A displacement and/or a speed determination of the door or a driven element of the door, is provided with a pulse counter. This e.g. is an incremental transmitter esp. a tachogenerator, pref. working in conjunction with a drive shaft of the motor.
