<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display apparatus capable of displaying the video signal of an interlace system or a progressive system on a CRT without adding a circuit such as a conversion circuit required in a conventional technique. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal deflection circuit is provided with two S-shaped capacitors C1, C2 and two resonant capacitors C3, C4, wherein two voltages V1, V2 having different levels are to be supplied to an FBT 16. When a CPU 10 determines a scanning system of a video signal displayed, voltages to be supplied to the S-shaped capacitor corresponding to a determined scanning direction by controlling to turn on/off transistors TR1, TR2 and TR3, the resonant capacitor and the FBT 16 are switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
