<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric toothbrush of a high quality, which provides a high operability in the oral cavity, an excellent brushing feeling, and in addition, a high tooth-brushing effect. <P>SOLUTION: The overall thickness (a) of a head section 7 including a brush section 2 is set to be 1.2 to 1.7 cm, and the ratio (c/b) of the thickness (b) of the head section 7 without including the brush section 2 and a maximum brush length (c) is set to be 0.9 to 1.5, and at the same time, a bristle cross sectional area is set to be 0.75 to 1.6 mm<SP>2</SP>. Also, a plurality of bristle bundles 12 constituting the brush section 2 are concentrically implanted in the circumference. At the same time, the bristle implanted area is set to be 0.6 to 1.6 cm<SP>2</SP>, and the bristle implanted density is set to be 25 to 35%.
