METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ORIGINAL DIE FOR BARRIER RIB TRANSFER INTAGLIO PRINTING, AND METHOD OF FORMING THE BARRIER RIB FOR PDP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture easily an original die of a barrier rib for producing a plate for barrier transfer intaglio printing without mechanical processing technique in relation to a method for forming a barrier rib of PDP. SOLUTION: A predetermined pattern made of chrome thin film 52 is formed on a glass substrate 51 with an a dry film resist 53 stuck on it. This is exposed in light through the back side of the glass substrate and developed to form an original die with a projected part in the shape of a barrier rib. Using the original die, a plate 54 for barrier rib transfer intaglio printing is produced. A material 55 for barrier rib is filled in the recession of the plate and transferred onto a substrate for PDP to form a barrier rib 57 on the substrate for PDP. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
