PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting for food piping that uses a polypropylene resin that is optimum as the material of a pipe fitting used for piping related to food and drinks for a female fitting element, makes the female element transparent, and allows the position of the inserted male element to be visually confirmed, and to provide a method for manufacturing the pipe fitting for food piping. SOLUTION: In the pipe fitting for food piping, the female element 1 has a transparent section 2 for enabling at least the tip side of the inserted male element 11 to be visually confirmed, and the transparent section 2 is made of a material in which a nucleus material for clarification is added to the polypropylene resin in a pipe fitting having the female element 1 that is used for the piping of food and drinks and has a male element 11 that can be inserted in the inner surface. In the method for manufacturing the pipe fitting for food piping, the nucleus material for clarification is added to the polypropylene resin for formation of the transparent section 2.
