PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of a user by reducing human damage when a fire occurs. SOLUTION: In this elevator control device, an elevator is controlled to operate according to a fire detection signal from fire detectors 2, 4 set in a building 1 and a hoist way 3. The control device includes: fire signal detection means 11, 12 detecting the occurrence of a fire according to a fire detection signal; determination means 14, 15 for determining the current operating state of the elevator on detection the occurrence of a fire; an operation instructing means 16 for giving a instruction for operating the elevator to the nearest floor in the operating direction when it is determined by the determination means that the elevator is now in operation; and a door control means 17 for opening the door of the elevator during a predetermined time and closing the door when it is determined by the determination means that the elevator is in the stop state.
