PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving type piercing detection device for automatically detecting the appropriate timing of boiling, steaming and roasting by using a piercing detection stick of the length extending from the rear side of a knob to the inner bottom of a pot body and informing a cooking person of the result of detection. SOLUTION: On a lid and the knob for heating a cooked object put in a pot, a permanent magnet is mounted on top of the knob, and a mechanism and an electronic device to be operated with a magnetic sensor and the physical force from the piercing detection stick with the length from the rear side of the knob to the inner bottom of the pot body are also mounted on the device. The time when the cooking is finished is informed by an alarm. The piercing detection stick is integrated with a detection device storage casing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
