PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella and a production method of the umbrella, which can improve in arrangement and beauty of pictures printed on the surface of a panel and prevent reversal of the panel, in relation to umbrellas and production methods of the umbrellas which are printed with pictures, such as characters, photographs or the like, on the surface of the panel. SOLUTION: Notches 25A are formed in four each corners of approximately square panel 25, a pair of rib sections 26A and 26B are arranged on the line joining two corners 25B of the panel 25 and a ferrule 22, the panel 25 is connected only to the ferrule 22 and the corner 25B, and in the pair of rib sections 26A and 26B, fishing gut 34 which inhibits the extension across the pair of rib sections 26A and 26B are arranged.
