<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction caused by residual condensed water on the inside of a combustor. <P>SOLUTION: In a fuel cell system in which a fuel cell 1 generates electric power with supplied fuel and an oxidant and anode gas exhausted from the fuel cell 1 is burned with the combustor 5 having a burning part 12 such as a catalyst and exhausted, when the system is stopped, the retention amount of the condensed water in the combustor 5 corresponding to the operation state of the system is estimated. Based on the estimated retention amount of the condensed water, a controller 2 combines operation introducing the oxidant into the combustor 5 and controlling an oxidant flow rate and oxidant introduction time, operation introducing fuel into the combustor 5 and controlling a fuel flow rate and fuel introduction time, and operation controlling a heating value and heating time of the catalyst and removes the condensed water inside the combustor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
