摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently realize dehydrogenation in a heat-treating portion. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an alloy powder for a permanent magnet comprises the steps of: making an alloy slug of a raw material containing a rare earth element, a metallic element and boron occlude hydrogen; and pulverizing it into the alloy powder. The apparatus is provided with a rotatable heat-treating portion for dehydrogenating the alloy powder having occluded hydrogen by heating. The heat-treating portion has an inert-gas-feeding mechanism for introducing an inert gas to the inside during treatment. The apparatus dehydrogenates the alloy powder having occluded hydrogen by heating while rotating the heat-treating portion and introducing an inert gas into the heat-treating portion. Since hydrogen released from the alloy powder is immediately exhausted together with the inert gas, dehydrogenation is efficiently realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
