PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact motor with a speed reduction mechanism capable of preventing abnormal noise of respective meshing portions from being generated even in the case that large load fluctuation is applied to a motor. SOLUTION: The motor 10 with a reduction mechanism, having large-diameter gears 31, 310 of a pair of counter gears 30, 300 meshing with a pair of worms 15, 105 formed at a motor shaft 14 with the thread directions of screws oriented opposite to each other, and an output gear 40 meshing with small-diameter gears 35, 350 of the counter gears 30, 300, wherein a spring member 51 is housed in a cylindrical recess 14 provided at the base end 14b of the motor shaft 14; a slide member 52 is slidably housed in a cylindrical recess 14c; the front end portion 52b of the slide member 52 is pressed to contact the inner face 11e of the end portion of a motor case 11 by the elastic force of the spring member 51; and thrust force oriented in the direction of the front end 14a of the motor shaft 14 is always generated in the motor shaft 14 by the resilient force of the spring member 51.
