PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for guaranteeing the reliability of a multiplex authentication server introduced and installed to a system. SOLUTION: This multiplex system by a plurality of authentication servers for the purpose of multiplexing the authentication servers comprises client PCs 1-1, 1-2 connected to a network 1-6, the servers 1-4, 1-5, and a device 1-3. In the multiplex system, the identification and authentication of a user, and access to a resource and permission are centrally managed by the authentication servers 1-4, 1-5. Each of the plurality of authentication servers 1-4, 1-5 has: a holding means holding a private key related to itself, of a key pair of a public key and the private key based on a public key cipher system, in secrecy; and a communication means performing periodic communication so as to confirm reliability between the multiplexed authentication servers.
