PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic excavator with a crane function, more safely performing crane work in the hydraulic excavator. SOLUTION: When an attachment of the hydraulic excavator with a crane function enters "crane work mode" (Y is determined in the step 80) and it is detected that a bucket 18 of the attachment is not completely closed (N is determined in the step 82), a warning to that effect is given to a worker (step 84).
