<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain computerization without changing the flow of the order of prescriptions such as handwriting or oral commands, and to attain the suppression of occurrence of any medical mistake and the improvement of the efficiency of the medical work by improving the precision of input/output. <P>SOLUTION: This medical order input/output operation management method includes: preliminarily reading handwritten characters 1a, 1b, ... of a doctor or the like, and presetting character data 2a, 2b, ... in a management computer 3; transmitting the handwritten characters 1a, 1b, ... to the management computer 3 according to the entry of the handwritten characters, when a doctor or the like fills in the order in a medical record 4a or an order sheet 4b at the time of diagnosis; and extracting and deciding them from the preset data of the character data 2a, 2b, ...; and selecting and order-outputting the character data 2a, 2b, ... corresponding to this. Thus, it is possible to unconsciously perform the data input of medical records by the current handwriting operation or voice recognition without changing the flow of the order by the handwriting or oral command, or without requiring any conventional input operation for conversion.
