The invention covers a plant A for drying moisture-containing goods (1), placed in an enclosure (2), in which a fan (5) is included or connected to, forcing a heated drying gas (3) through the enclosure (2) and past the goods (1) in such a manner that moisture from the goods (1) is absorbed by the drying gas. A heat exchanger unit (6) is connected to the enclosure (2) via inlet (7) and outlet (7') ducts, whereby a portion (3a) of the drying gas (3) is brought to pass through the heat exchanger unit (6). The heat exchanger unit (6) consists of two connected heat exchanging portions (61, 62). A first heat exchanging portion (61) comprises a double-acting passively working cooling section and passively working heating section. A second heat exchanging portion comprises an actively working cooling section (62). The passively working cooling section is arranged to work partly with cold drying gas and partly with a cooling medium stream, and the actively working cooling section is activated when needed to complement the passively working cooling section. The passively working heating section is arranged to work with ambient warm drying gas as a heating medium stream. |
