<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a salty taste liking suppressor facilitating making low-salt taste familiar and contributing to feeling deliciousness even if the amount of salt added is small, and to provide a low-salt palatable health food ensuring naturally satisfying less salt addition in light of dietary habit. <P>SOLUTION: The salty taste liking suppressor comprises as the active ingredient an aqueous solvent extract of Apocynum venetum L. The low-salt palatable health food contains 0.02-4 wt.%, on a dry basis, of this salty taste liking suppressor.
