摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of direct solidification casting for manufacturing a ceramic component, especially for the biomedical industry. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a ceramic component includes dispersing an &alpha;-alumina nanopowder having a diameter exceeding 100 nm in water, using 2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid (PBTC) or disodium 4,5-dihydroxy-m-benzenedisulfonate (Tiron ((R))) as a dispersant, causing the pH to move toward the isoelectric point (IEP) by adding a mixture of acetic anhydride and ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol, drying in a controlled atmosphere (humidity, temperature), post-forming with a cold hydrostatic press, and sintering a three-dimensional structure thus formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
