PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump device of an internal combustion engine to prevent oil leakage by eliminating the deformation of a wall surface for covering an exhaust port of a pump cover when high-pressure oil is discharged into the exhaust port. SOLUTION: In the oil pump device 1, a first and a second ribs 26, 27 are projected at a cylinder block 3 side from a wall surface near a connecting part of a circular port 28a with an extended port 29 at a lower part of a pump cover 9, and a wall surface straddling an end of the circular port 28 at an upper part within the limits covered with a timing chain 15 respectively. Since front ends of the first and second ribs 26, 27 are brought in contact with one side surface 3a of the cylinder block 3, the wall surface covering the discharge port 25 can be maintained in the shape without deforming as swelling to the cylinder block 3 side, even when high pressure acts on the discharge port 25 of the pump cover 9 side.
