A wheel-hub for cycles or motor-cycles comprises a cylindrical hub shell 1 integral with bearing recesses 2 and spoke flanges 4, the flanges 4 having a sinuous cross-section and being joined to the recess walls near their axially inner ends, this construction obviating distortion of the recesses when the spokes are tightened. Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) illustrate alternative flange cross-sections intended to permit resilient distortion of flanges 4. The cylindrical shell 1 is reinforced internally by a steel tube 6, which is used as a core when casting the shell 1 and left therein. |
