PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a difference between recording qualities depending on recording modes by providing the good recording quality without reference to the type of a recording medium. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this inkjet recording apparatus, which performs recording by ejecting an ink droplet from a recording element while relatively moving a head and the recording medium, comprises a recording medium selecting means for selecting the recording medium serving as a recording object, and a recording quality selecting means for selecting the recording quality; and the recording mode is identified depending on the recording medium and the recording quality.
