PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize more flexible QoS management, while each communication station conducting access competitions in an autonomous network environment. SOLUTION: A communication station sets a preferred transmission period of a length corresponding to a band quantity required from a high-order layer of a communication protocol layer, after transmission of a beacon, and describes the period on the beacon and notifies peripheral stations. In this way, a beacon transmission station can transmit at a shorter packet interval, and communication stations other than this can transmit at the packet interval same as or longer than that of the beacon transmission station and after back-off over a random time.
