Each machine tool (4) has a groove in its base enabling it to be held by a gripping arm (7) with two jaws (8). The arm may remove individual tools from holders (2) with cup-shaped recesses (3), accommodated in a ready position (6) in an intermediate magazine (1). It can move them to a machine spindle. The intermediate magazine has a linear bearing (5) which enables the tool holders to be moved up and down.
