<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an control unit evaluating apparatus capable of simulating even an unstable state of such a case that other control units are not activated, immediately after the power is on for evaluating a control unit connected to the other control units via communication lines for communicating with one another. <P>SOLUTION: Signals transmitted from the ECU are converted into data viewable with human eyes by a data conversion part 21 for a monitor and transmitted to a PC, and a return signal generation part 22 generates a return signal indicating the reception of the signals and transmits it to the ECU via a communications protocol conversion part 24. When an operator inputs a signal from the PC, a transmission signal generating part generates a transmission signal, corresponding to communications standards and transmits it to the ECU. When the operator issues an instruction not to allowing the generation of a return signal, the return signal will not be transmitted to the ECU, since a switching control part 26 switches a switching part 25 to prevent the transmission signal from the ECU from being inputted to the return signal generating part 22 for a prescribed time from the instruction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
