PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data recording system that are capable of retaining confidentiality of image data and are capable of copying safely, and to provide an image data recording device, a digital camera, and a program for the digital camera. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a memory card is fitted to the digital camera, and it is determined whether data incorporated into the digital camera are copied to the memory card, when the memory card is fitted to the digital camera. Then, when the data are to be copied, it is determined whether a password inputted by a user matches that recorded in the digital camera, in advance. When they coincide each other, the entire data of the incorporated data are recorded into the memory card. When the data do not match, the copying processing of the data is ended.
