PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video system at a low cost that can easily be controlled. SOLUTION: A computer 1 is connected to a video disk recorder 2 via a network 3. The computer 1 includes: a control means 1a including software for controlling the video disk recorder 2; a conversion means 1b including software for carrying out conversion between a virtual address and a physical address by using an incorporated conversion table 1c; and a basic control means 1d including software such as an operating system OS and a driver. The video disk recorder 2 includes: a recording medium 2b for recording video image; a control means 2a recording the video on a recording medium 2b by using the control signal from the computer 1; a video input means 6; and a video output means 7.
