摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery electric storage device capable of switching a circuit for connecting a number of storage cells in series or in parallel without using a switching element or the like. SOLUTION: The battery electric storage device 1 comprises seven positive electrode terminals 21 and seven negative electrode terminals 22 each connected to the positive electrode 11 and negative electrode 13 of each storage cell 10; six bypass conductive plates 31 each extending between the vicinity of the positive electrode terminal 11 of each storage cell 10 to the vicinity of the negative electrode terminal 22 of the storage cell 10 adjacent thereto, six slide conductive plates 23 and 24 each supported so as to make slide contact with each positive electrode terminal 21, each negative electrode terminal 22 and each bypass conductive plate 31; and a switching mechanism 40 for switching each slide conductive plate 23 or 24 to a parallel connecting position for connecting each storage cell 10 in parallel while electrically continuing adjacent positive electrode terminals 11 with each other and electrically continuing adjacent negative electrode terminals 12 and to a serial connecting position for serially connecting each storage cell 10 while electrically continuing each positive electrode terminal 21 and each negative electrode terminal 22 to each bypass conductive plate 31.
