<p>A mobile phone capable of exchanging a data file with a second mobile phone. This can be done directly between mobile phones 18, 20 using a removable storage medium 22 or remote processing device 26 as an intermediary. The mobile phone includes a processor 10, storage medium 16, and code recorded in the storage medium 14 to direct activities. The code 14 includes code to establish a connection 202, 602 with another mobile phone or remote processing device 26 such that data can be exchanged. Data retrieved from internal memory 16 and sent 206 via the connection established 202. Data is received via the connection established and written to storage 214 in the mobile phone. If a removable storage medium 22 is employed, the data is copied 402 from the mobile phone to the removable storage medium 22. The removable storage medium 22 is then removed and inserted into another mobile phone where it can be copied 408 into that mobile phone's internal storage.</p> |
