<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy having excellent pulverization characteristics and hydrogen storage properties and also, battery characteristics of having high capacity and suppressing internal-pressure rise in a battery. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen storage alloy is an AB<SB>5</SB>-type hydrogen storage alloy having a CaCu<SB>5</SB>-type crystal structure represented by general formula MmNi<SB>a</SB>Mn<SB>b</SB>Al<SB>c</SB>Co<SB>d</SB>(wherein, Mm is misch metal; and 3.60≤a≤3.90, 0.30≤b≤0.5, 0.20≤c≤0.4, 0.60≤d≤0.80 and 5.10≤a+b+c+d≤5.30 are satisfied), and the lattice length of the C axis is ≥4.055 Å. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
