POLYESTER FILM FOR ELECTRONIC PAPER SUBSTRATE AND ELECTRONIC PAPER SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for an electronic paper substrate having unconventional flexibility and excellent scuff resistance, dimensional stability, transparency and gas barrier properties and to provide the electronic paper substrate using the polyester film. SOLUTION: The film for the electronic paper substrate is a polyester film (A) composed of a polyester (1) comprising a butylene terephthalate repeating unit as a principal component and containing≥1 to≤100 ppm of a titanium compound expressed in terms of titanium atom and having 1.0-2.5 (dl/g) intrinsic viscosity and having≥38 J/g heat quantity of crystal melting▵Hm, <0.15 in-plane refractive index (▵n) and≥75% total light transmittance.
