PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transmission in a vehicle to be compacter and lighter than conventional. SOLUTION: A case 15 is composed of a main housing 17 and a subsidiary housing 18. In the main housing 17, an idle shaft 19, a counter shaft 20, and a fork shaft 35 are contained. The fork shaft 35 penetrates a shield plate 182 in the subsidiary housing 18 from the inside of the case 15 to protrude. A through hole 39 formed in the shield plate 182 for the fork shaft 35 to penetrate is composed of a shaft side hole 391, a seal hole 392, and an insertion hole 393. The shaft side hole 391, the seal hole 392, and the insertion hole 393 are disposed in this order from the outer side of the case 15 toward the inner side of the case 15.
