There is provided a process for separating brans and foreign matter from rice to thereby attain fractionation into wash-free rice and brans, which process comprises the mixing agitation step of realizing receiving in a switchover manner of each of milled rice supplied through a sifting machine from a rice milling machine provided for treating of unmilled rice and milled rice otherwise treated and supplied, mixing in a desirable ratio the milled rice with a polishing material consisting of bran for rice milling (parched bran) having been invented and patented by the applicant to thereby obtain a mixed raw material and performing mixing agitation of this mixed raw material by revolving an agitation blade so that the milled rice and the polishing material are rubbed against each other to isolate brans including skin bran adhering to the surface of milled rice together with foreign matter; the sifting step of separating the brans and foreign matter by sifting; and the separation finishing step of performing finishing of rice into wash-free rice. |
