FIELD: valving. ^ SUBSTANCE: diaphragm valve comprises a means for pressing the diaphragm to the seat and removing it off the seat. The means for pressing and removing the diaphragm is made of a spring-loaded lever with a handle. The lever is pivotally connected with the axle in a hollow provided in the housing. The end of the lever is made of a fork and has two spherical thickenings at this site. One of the thickenings is made just at the end, and the axis of the pivot is mounted at the center. The other thickening is at the center of the pusher and cooperates with it. The pusher is provided with a groove having bearing surfaces which cooperate with the thickened section of the fork. The end of the pusher from the side of the diaphragm is thickened to define a cylinder with flat end and fits in the opening of the housing. The other end of the pusher is made of a rod and fits in the other opening made in the threaded plug with a handle. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. ^ 3 dwg |
