Light-diffusing methacrylic polymer material (I) based on methyl methacrylate (co)polymer and halogenated polyphosphonate and/or halogenated phosphate ester fire retardant also contains 1-5% silica with an elementary particle size of less than 500 (preferably less than 100) nm.
