FREQUENCY ERROR DETECTING METHOD, RECEIVING METHOD, AND SENDING AND RECEIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a frequency correction rapidly to a wide range of frequency error in a radio communication apparatus.

SOLUTION: The frequency error is detected by using a different known symbol from a data signal included in input signals. At least two known symbols arranged at separated position to some degree in the input signals are extracted from the input signals. A phase deviation of the two known symbols in the input signals represent a frequency deviation of the input signals. The frequency deviation of the input signals is detected from the phase deviation. A first symbol set including at least two different known symbols and a second symbol set including at least two known symbols of different symbol interval from the symbol interval of the first symbol set are extracted from the input signals.A first frequency error and a second frequency error are detected based on the extracted first symbol set and second symbol set, and an output of either a first or a second frequency error detecting portion is selected as a frequency error controlling signal.
