PURPOSE:To obtain the titled crystalline glass having excellent strength and water-resistance, etc., exhibiting translucent and opaque white color, and suitable as artificial tooth, etc., by adding Al2O3 to a crystalline calcium phosphate glass having an Ca/P atomic ratio falling within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials such ass calcium carbonate, orthophophosric acid, aluminum hydroxide, etc. are weighed and mixed in a manner to obtain a glass composition composed of 41-49.5mol% CaO, 58.5-50mol% P2O5 and 0.5-5mol% Al2O3 and having a Ca/P atomic ratio of 0.35-0.49. The mixture is melted, cast in a mold, and crystallized to obtain the objective crystalline calcium phosphate glass for dental material. |
