<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling-embedded type air conditioner which can realize the common use of so-called main components of two-way and four-way cassette types, for example. <P>SOLUTION: The ceiling-embedded type air conditioner is configured such that a centrifugal air blower 11, a heat exchanger 21 arranged on the periphery of the centrifugal air blower and a drain pan 16 covering the bottom face of the heat exchanger are accommodated in a casing 2; a decorative panel 7 is arranged in an opening part of the casing 2; and air sucked in from a suction port provided through the decorative panel 7 is blown out from a blow-out port 4 formed along a side edge of the decorative panel.
