摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measuring device and a monitoring device of a melting furnace which accurately measure the temperature of a fire-resistant wall and monitors the erosion of the fire-resistant wall wherein, even if the fire-resistant wall is eroded, no molten slug leaks out. SOLUTION: In the monitoring device for a melting furnace 10 comprising a furnace wall formed from a fire-resistant wall 16 and an iron skin 12 covering the fire-resistant wall 16, and a slag outlet port 24 through which a molten slug 27 overflowing into a part of the furnace wall is discharged, the thickness of the fire-resistant wall is calculated based on the fire-resistant wall temperature and slug temperature measured by a thermocouple 30 and a radiation thermometer 35 arranged in the melting furnace 10 and the heat conductivity of the fire-resistant wall; a computation device 36 is provided which judges the exchange timing of the fire-resistant wall; additionally, the height position of an iron skin side insertion hole of the thermocouple 30 is defined above the level of the molten slug and the height position of the tip end of the thermocouple is defined near the height of the bottom face of the slag outlet port 24; and the thermocouple 30 is arranged to face the inside of the furnace and to be slanted downward.
