PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow uniform formation of a titanium oxide film inside a nozzle for suppressing the accumulation of carbon deposits while preventing the thermal deformation of the nozzle. SOLUTION: At least a portion of the nozzle 4 of the injection valve 1 for an internal combustion engine is immersed in film formation undiluted solution in which titanium ammonium fluoride ä(NH4)2TiF6} and boric acid (H3BO3) are dissolved. Then, titanium oxide is precipitated on the surface 21 of a valve seat 2 as a reaction site including an inside 41 of the nozzle 4 to form the titanium oxide thin film 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
