PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for switching between wireless connection and wired connection while reducing useless power consumption in which a decision can be made easily whether wireless connection with a non-wired connection slave unit is possible or not on the wired connection slave unit side and the connection can be made easily in a system where a master unit and a slave unit are connected by wireless. SOLUTION: The communication switching method comprises a step for informing the function between connection units mutually when a master unit and a slave unit are connected by wire, a step for detecting a function provided only in one of the master unit or the slave unit, a step for detecting a function provided in both the master and slave units, and a step for informing the function between connection units following to wired connection, stopping one of both functions and then stopping the not-used function in the one function.
