PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device superior in expression appealing performance to an observer. SOLUTION: A display device is provided with; display parts 4 to 7 wherein a plurality of display bodies consisting of light emitting elements arranged like a matrix are linearly arranged; a storage part 13 wherein character information and background information are stored; and a control part 10. The control part 10 makes the display parts 4 to 7 display characters as a moving image in accordance with the character information and makes them display a background object as a moving image in accordance with the background information.
