PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparation of small-diameter microcapsules of three primary colors which can be destroyed by ultrasonic waves and large-diameter microcapsules including the same and a recording method using the same. SOLUTION: The large-diameter microcapsules are prepared by dropping an oil mixture mixed with a color developer oil, transparent dye capsules (small-diameter microcapsules) of 1μmϕfor cyan, 2μmϕfor magenta and 4μmϕfor yellow, and wall materials E and F in a dispersion stabilizer G, stirring the entire part so as to obtain oil drops of 15μmϕby a homogeneizer to prepare a mixed oil-in-water O/W emulsion, stirring the emulsion with an ordinary stirring apparatus to cause a reaction for three hours at 70°C, generating capsule walls of a grain size 15μm to obtain a dispersion solution of the large-diameter microcapsules, and subjecting the dispersion solution to cleaning, settling and separating, then drying, thereby obtaining large-diameter microcapsule powder. The transparent dye capsules are selectively irradiated with ultrasonic waves of respectively specific resonance frequencies to selectively destroy the inside transparent dye capsules and to react the developing agent oil and the transparent dye, thereby developing the desired colors.
