The machine to laminate two or more sheets, e.g. of paper, has at least one continuously powered conveyor path with a motorized alignment conveyor (1) followed in the direction of travel (A) by a laminating conveyor (2). A glue station (6) at the alignment conveyor applies glue to at least one side of the sheets (3-5) in succession. The alignment conveyor has a number of angled rollers (10,11) in the center, with their axes at an acute angle (alpha ) to the line of travel, driven by motors (12,13) together or separately at each side. Limits (18,19) are along the longitudinal sides of the conveyor, to act on the edges of the sheets and bring them into alignment. A suction system is under the conveyor, to hold the sheets against the angled rollers. The laminating conveyor also has a vacuum system (50) to hold the sheets against the conveyor by suction, with leading limit tines (46) for sheet alignment. A central control (44) sets the vacuum operation.
