DATA RECORDING METHOD AND RECORDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording method by which generation of tracking errors can be avoided in various optical recording media having a plurality of information layers.

SOLUTION: When data are recorded on an optical disk 10 by irradiating with a laser beam the optical disk 10 in which two information layers are formed, the data are recorded in a data-recording track in the first L2 information layer 14 from the laser beam incidence surface side and then an unrecorded data-recording track adjacent to the recorded data-recording track or an unrecorded data-recording track positioned in the vicinity of the recorded data-recording track is irradiated with the laser beam to form a transmittance adjustment region A2 having light transmittance intermediate between the transmittance of a recorded region A1 including the recorded data-recording track and the transmittance of an unrecorded region A0 including the unrecorded data-recording track.
