PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an optimal antenna by minimizing the number of switching times of antenna. SOLUTION: Upon receiving a radio wave by three or more antennas 101, the receiver 100 outputs transmission signals, respectively. When two antennas are selected by a selecting means 102, transmission signals outputted from two antennas are demodulated respectively and synthesized. On the other hand, quality level of the transmission signal being outputted from the antennas 101 is detected by a detecting means 106. If the quality level of the transmission signal outputted from at least any one antenna is lower than a predetermined level, a control means 107 selects two antennas from the antennas 101 based on the quality level of a transmission signal outputted from the antennas 101. Since an optimal antenna is selected based on the quality level of a detected transmission signal when the quality level of a transmission signal outputted from a selected antenna becomes lower than a predetermined level, reception quality is enhanced.
