PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a heat radiation loss and a temperature defective material produced in re-operation after stop of pressing in an induction heater for forging, for instance.

SOLUTION: The heat resistant internal wall of a heating coil of the induction heater is constituted such that a value obtained by dividing heat conductivity expressed in the SI international unit of the heat resistant material, by the product of a natural logarithm of the ratio between an outer diameter and an inner diameter of the heat resistant internal wall and a diameter of a heated material expressed in meter is selected to be 35 or less by using a monolithic refractory mixed with porous refractory aggregate, for instance.
