PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam condensing lens which is composed of one or two lenses having at least one anamorphic aspherical face, and is, thereby, suitable for efficiently condensing light beams emitted from a semiconductor laser, which are different in beam spread angle in two directions. SOLUTION: Light beams emitted from the semiconductor laser 2, which are different in beam spread angle in the two directions that are almost perpendicular to a plane perpendicular to an optical axis, are made incident on the beam condensing lens 1. The beam condensing lens 1 condenses and emits the light to an optical fiber 3. The beam condensing lens 1 includes two lenses 1a and 1b that have positive powers, and at least one face of the two lenses is an anamorphic aspherical face. In Figure, the optical direction is Z axis, the direction (short axial direction) in which the spread angle of the light beams emitted from the semiconductor laser is narrow is X axis, and the direction (long axial direction) in which the spread angle of the light beams is wide is Y axis.
