<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which monitors the amount of discharged paper at nights and on holidays, to prevent jamming of discharged paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises an image memory 20 in which image information is stored, a plotter 15 which discharges paper based on the image information by detecting the amount of discharged paper, and a control unit 11 which controls the entire apparatus. The control unit 11 controls clock information to provide a timing function, and the plotter 15 stops discharging of paper for a prescribed period when detecting the amount of discharged paper that exceeds a prescribed amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
